PERSIA, Achaemenid Empire. Time of Xerxes II to Artaxerxes II, circa 420-375 BC. Daric (Gold, 17 mm, 8.34 g), Lydo-Milesian standard, Sardes. Persian king or hero in kneeling/running stance to right, holding spear in his right hand and bow in his left. Rev. Irregular incuse punch. BMC Arabia pl. XXV, 12-3. Carradice Type IIIb Group C (pl. XIV, 42). Sunrise 28. A well centered and attractive piece. Extremely fine.
